in the days of '39

today is friday, october 2.
im reading the sun also rises by ernest hemingway. my mother gave it to me as a parting gift. today i read it while drinking red wine at a cafe. i don't particularly like drinking wine, but i felt it was the the appropriate thing to do. so in the spirit of things, i 'utilized' 4 glasses of vino tinto, and after couldn't help but feel a little 'tight'. i think i will get the hang of this.

  1. Actually my name is not Jay, but I don't know how to change it! Wow what a cool mom you have to buy you such and awesome and appropriate book! By the way, did you find a place to live yet?

  2. Where did you take that profile picture, and how many bottles of "VINO VITTO" could you cram into that hand bag - I would guess about 16.
Jay - LUENGUE/LUENGA's mom is my sister-in-law, and she is many things, but none of them are cool. I mean, how cool can you be if you use an alias and write that somebody's mother is cool thinking people will think your talking about someone else, when really everone knows your calling yourself cool - that's lame.
Anyway, everthing is good in ol' SC. Your uncle Thomas, my husband, just got nominated for teacher of the year for the entire frickin USA, and when the school bus pulled into the parking lot on fire yesterday at Concordia he didn't hesitate to climb through one of the windows and save all 42 students on board and the fat driver who had passed out from the fumes. He got Sun Post/Register "Man of the Month" for that one, and he never ceases to amaze me and everyone else too.
